The short version: BrumeBlog.Com sets no cookies, runs no analytics, no advertising and no tracking scripts. There are no accounts. We do not build a profile of you, and we have nothing about you to sell, share or lose.
What we collect
Nothing, directly. This site is a set of static files. There is no login, no comment system, no form that submits to us, and no script on any page that reports your behaviour back to us.
Cookies
We set no cookies. The only thing the site stores in your browser is a single
local storage entry called brume-theme, which remembers
whether you chose the light or dark theme.
That value never leaves your device, is not a cookie, is not sent to any server, and cannot identify you. Clearing your site data removes it and the site returns to its default theme.
Third parties
One third party is involved in loading a page, and you should know what it sees:
- Our hosting provider
- Like every web server, the host processes the request needed to send you the page, which includes your IP address. This is standard server operation, not analytics by us, and we do not receive or retain per-visitor logs.
- Fonts
- None. The typeface used across this site (Inter) is served from our own domain, not from a font CDN, so loading a page hands your IP address to no third party for the sake of rendering text.
Analytics and advertising
We run neither. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising network, no heatmap tool, no session recording and no social tracking pixels on this site.
If that ever changes, this page will be updated to name the service before it ships, and the reviewed date at the top will reflect the change.
Your rights
Data protection law gives you rights of access, correction, erasure and objection over personal data held about you. In our case there is a simple answer: we hold none, so there is nothing to access, correct or erase.
If you email us, we obviously have that email — we keep it only as long as needed to deal with what you wrote about. Ask us to delete it and we will.
Children
This site is a general-audience technical reference. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because we do not collect information.
Changes to this policy
Material changes will be reflected in the reviewed date at the top of this page. We do not make a policy quietly weaker and leave the date untouched.
